No. It is rated at 220V single phase, 6kW and approximately 28-30A. A licensed New Zealand electrician must confirm the supply, protective device, isolation and cable size for the installation. Do not use a household plug, travel adaptor or extension lead.
Install the approximately 200kg kiln on a level, non-combustible base in a dry, well-ventilated room. Keep combustible storage and shelving away from the hot surfaces, provide the clearances required by the supplied manual and local code, and make sure freight access can accommodate the 750 × 770 × 1020mm external size.
It includes five default firing programs and supports custom firing curves with up to 30 heating segments. The separate controller guide explains the programmed ramps and holds. Confirm every program against the clay and glaze supplier's firing schedule before starting a load.
Only fire ceramic materials whose required temperature and firing curve fall within the kiln's confirmed operating rating. Check the clay body, glaze and kiln-furniture limits together; do not infer a safe top temperature from the chamber size or controller alone.
Read both supplied manuals, inspect the chamber and thermocouple, confirm ventilation and have the electrical installation checked. Run the recommended test firing before valuable ware, monitor the kiln during operation and leave the door closed until the kiln has cooled to the manual's safe opening temperature.
